Students looked at their graded Chapter 5 tests, then turned them back in (one student has not yet taken the test). We talked about talking with family members for the Ancestry Project. Students then paired up to review teh contributions of entlightenment thinkers: they wrote, then did peer review their writing, and quized each other. Each student then wrote a brief essay summarizing this information.

Students wrote the Chapter 5 test this morning. We will have more relaxed classes on Wednesday and Thursday.
Students watched the CNN Student News while our new team captains choose team members. We played a game of Jeopardy. The standings are:
We finished our discussion of Stuart England, ending with the monarchs who followed them, William and Marry and Queetn Anne. Along the way students learned the origin of the Union Jack and the story behind the naming of Charleston, Maryland, Annapolis and New York.
After a multiple-choice quiz over Chapter 5.1-3, we discussed the political and religious turmoil of 17th century England, ending with the English Civil War and Oliver Cromwell.
