This afternoon we began our study of the Great War. Think of the Great War and World War II as two acts of the same play. Over the next few weeks we will continue on to look at the 20s and 30s, then finish the year with World War II. This will bring us back to where we started last August: nuclear strikes that ended the war in the Pacific with Japan and the beginning of the Cold War.
We also talked about compiling stories from your Ancestry Reports. Many of you have told me how much you enjoyed this project. Again, congratulations on excellent reports and presentations. You have found so many stories about your families. It is always so cool when students discover things about their families they didn't known before. |
