We watched the Omaha Beach scene from the film Saving Private Ryan. Remember, next Monday is Memorial Day, a time to reflect on the sacrifices made by service personnel in WWII and America's other wars. Today we had our second group of presenters. Please be aware of your place in the schedule and be prepared to present.
We had a lecture on the course of WWII in Europe from 1942-45 today. Next week we will watch the first twenty minutes of Saving Private Ryan, the D-Day portion of the film. We will look at WWII in the Pacific and continue presentations. I'm back in class after being gone on the 8th Grade Washington D.C. trip. Today the Ancestry Project report, newspaper and poster are due. Presentations begin next week.
